Natural Facelift - 4 Natural Ways You Can Get A Facelift Without Plastic Surgery

By Tu Tran

We all go through the aging process. For some people, the aging process is much quicker than others.

As we grow older we become more concern about looks. You may find that your skin doesn't have the 'spring' it once had. The production of new skin cells decreases and your dead skin doesn't shed as quickly. The smooth silky skin that you once had is now full of age spots, spider veins, freckles, leathery and rough skin, a blotchy complexion, loose skins and fine wrinkles that disappear when you stretch them.

Is this scaring you? You might want to rush down to your local plastic surgeon to have a surgical facelift. If you're willing to go through days, weeks or even months of pain and having to fork out a huge sum of money, you can stop right now!

There are natural and simple ways to reverse the aging process.

1. Avoid The Sun

The majority of premature aging is a result of excessive sun exposure, otherwise known as 'photoaging'. If you exposed your skin for just a few minutes each day over a few years, your skin will age significantly. The rate of the aging process will depend on your skin color and the history of long-term or intense sun exposure.

If you can't avoid the sun, always you sun block to cover your skin. Always use a Sunblock that offers broad spectrum (UVA and UVB protection) and a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of greater than 15. This would provide you adequate protection from the sun.

2. Change your sleeping positions

If you rest your face on the pillow in the same routine every night for years, this could lead to wrinkles (also known as sleep lines). The wrinkles will eventually become imprinted on the surface of the skin. It may become permanent when your head is not resting on the pillow. If you are a side sleeper, the lines will most likely to appear on your chin and cheeks. If you sleep on your forehead pressed down onto the pillow, the lines would appear around your forehead.

Instead, the best position to avoid developing these wrinkles is lying on your back. The skin on your face will not be in direct contact on the pillow and therefore there will be no stretching of the skin.

3. Stop Smoking

We all know how bad smoking is for your health but sometimes we don't realize how bad it is especially for your skin! You may notice your friends, family or even yourself that has smoke for ten or more cigarettes a day for ten years straight has really awful skin. The skin may be more likely to have leathery skin, develop deep wrinkles and tend to have a yellowish hue to their complexion.

According to studies, cigarette smoking causes biochemical reactions in our bodies that accelerate aging. If you a smoker and think that these changes will be permanent, then quit now! In some cases, stopping smoking even though you had smoke for a few years can show immediate significant improvement in skin tone with less facial wrinkling.

4. Always Smile!

Smiling not only makes you feel good, it also makes you look good! Smiling produces a natural powerful hormone that helps to improve circulation throughout your body and reverse the biochemical process of aging. Smiling also helps to improve tone strength of your skin and thereby preventing sagging of the skin.
