Does liposuction hurt?
Answered By Editor
The procedure itself does not hurt. Like any serious surgical procedure, you will be put under anesthesia. You will hopefully have no memories of the procedure, and your doctor should proscribe you with a medication to battle the pain afterwards. There is a degree of pain afterwords during recovery. You have to remember the doctor is placing tubes inside you, causing an incision, and then sucking out the fat. This results in muscles being strained, pain at the site of the incision and soreness when moving around. Most people see severe bruising after liposuction, and your results will all depend on your skin's elasticity.
