Comparing Water-assisted Liposuction With Ultrasound-assisted Liposuction

Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction also called Vaser Liposuction. The liposuction method uses a cannula which transmits ultrasound vibration within the body. The ultrasound vibration will burst the walls of the fat cells and liquefying the fat. This will make it easier for the suction.

Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction has slightly less blood loss comparing to the old tumescent liposuction. However comparing to Water-Assisted Liposuction, Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction has more blood loss.

Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction produces heat when performing the surgery. The ultrasound vibration produces heat which can be harmful to the body. This heat can leave irregularity of skin or permanent ugly scars after the surgery.

Water-Assisted Liposuction produces no heat when performing the surgery. A thin fan-shaped water beam cannula is used with Water-Assisted Liposuction. This cannula is really helpful when performing liposuction. It adds water continually during the liposuction session.

The water that the cannula adds will help loosing the fat cells in the body. The fat will be sucked very easily.

Water-Assisted Liposuction will not leave irregularity of skin or permanent ugly scars. More over the suction capability of Water-Assisted Liposuction is 10 times more than Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction.

Water-Assisted Liposuction has a suction capability of 2000 - 3000 cc. per session while Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction has lower suction capability of 400 – 500 cc. per session.

The recovery time of Water-Assisted Liposuction is better. It’s only takes 7 – 10 days. Also this method is less pain, bruise and swelling.

Therefore Water-Assisted Liposuction is better than Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction.

Water-Assisted Liposuction helps you reduce your costs because in one session of the operation you can get rid of more fat. This method is also the safer way comparing to Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction.

Normally a surgeon will let you have a general anesthesia before the liposuction. Water-Assisted Liposuction is different. It does only require a local anesthesia. You can discuss with your surgeon during the surgery about the seeing result. This means the result is adjustable with your help to the surgeon.

Please be aware that all cosmetic surgery procedures have their risks. To know more about the risk you can consult with the surgeons before having the surgery. Many surgeons don’t add consultation fee before the surgery. You can find out more about the price on their websites.

Finally you should find out if the surgeon is board certified and licensed to perform cosmetic surgery.

You May be a Good Candidate for Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is performed to remove excess fat from beneath the skin. Although liposuction is not a form of weight loss, it is a way to change the shape and contour of your body. Many people choose Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Vasdev Rai of Dallas, Texas to perform liposuction procedures in order to remove excess fat that is too stubborn for diet and exercise.

Even though almost everyone can have liposuction, the best candidates for this body contouring procedure are individuals who are normal or slightly over weight, with firm, elastic skin, have pockets of excess fat in areas of their body, psychologically stable, physically healthy, and people with realistic expectations.

Although age is not a large determining factor for whether you should have liposuction or not, someone who’s skin is not very elastic may have the same problems as someone with tight skin.

Liposuction is an excellent option if you have excess fat protruding from any area of your body. Dr. Rai’s goal when performing liposuction procedures is to “create a smooth, even, proportionate distribution of the fat that is left behind, so that treated areas are in balance with adjacent untreated areas.”

The reason liposuction is such an appealing cosmetic procedure to so many people is because it is minimally invasive, it has proven results, and there is a fast recovery time. Also, it can be used on many different areas of the body so that you can get the results that you want. Dr. Rai will perform your liposuction procedure with your needs and goals in mind, not what is most convenient or easy.

In women, the most common procedures are the removal of excess fat from under the chin, arms, outer thighs, waist, hips, and stomach. Men, on the other hand, tend to have liposuction performed to reduce excess fat in their “love handles,” around the waist, enlarged male breasts, and under the chin.

Dr. Rai performs three types of liposuction at the Cosmetic Surgical Center in Dallas, Texas. Throughout his 20 years of medical experience, Dr. Rai has performed over 10,000 cosmetic surgeries. Many of those surgeries have been liposuction procedures such as:

· Traditional Liposuction

· Ultrasonic Liposuction (Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction or UAL)

· Tumescent Liposuction

Liposuction is the number one cosmetic surgery procedure in the United States, and is also Dr. Rai’s most popular procedure among his patients.

Comparing Water-assisted Liposuction With Smart Lipo

If you are thinking about having liposuction, comparing the procedures will let you know how to find the best one that suits your needs. The best liposuction procedure should be the least harmful and produce the best possible results.

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves small incisions. The cannula is a small hollow tube that is used in liposuction surgery. The cannula is attached to a vacuum pressure unit. The surgeon will use this cannula to suck out any unwanted fat of you body.

However there are many liposuction methods for you to consider. Most of the liposuction methods produce heat which can cause some problem to the skin after the surgery.

Smart Lipo is a laser-assisted liposuction. The heat of Smart Lipo produces irregularity of skin. The report shows that laser-assisted liposuction can leave permanent ugly scars too. Water-assisted liposuction produces no heat and has more suction capability.

Smart Lipo has the suction capability of 200 cc. per session while water-assisted liposuction has the suction capability of 2,000 - 3,000 cc. per session.

The suction capability is one of the reasons why Smart Lipo cost more money than Water-Assisted Liposuction.

Smart Lipo need more recovery time and more painful than Water-Assisted Liposuction due to the result of the heat that produced by the system.

The reason why Water-Assisted Liposuction is a better choice is because of the different system of the cannula. Water-Assisted Liposuction uses a thin fan-shaped water beam cannula. The cannula continually adds water during the liposuction session. Surgeons who use this liposuction method can suck out your fat a lot easier because the water will loose the fat cells.

Water-Assisted Liposuction is less harm to your body since the surgeon can suck out your fat very easy without damaging your body.

This method also leaves less bruises and scars. Water-Assisted Liposuction can be performed under local anesthesia while Smart Lipo is normally performed under general anesthesia.

Water-Assisted Liposuction takes less time of recovery. Normally the recovery is only 7-10 days.

However before having a liposuction you should consult with more than one surgeon. The process of choosing the right surgeon is very important. You need to be careful on this process and choose the surgeon that is a board certified surgeon. To ensure that the liposuction will turn out well, you also need to ask your surgeon about his/her prior liposuction patients and testimonials.
